Polihics

So who exactly is it that is advocating just opening the borders and letting anyone who wants in? Sure you may find a couple examples but it's far from what the majority on either side wants.
Your circular logic isn't making any sense.

The Dems think that building a wall to force people to come in thru controlled ports of entry is:
-wrong
-immoral (even though they supported it before Trump made it a campaign promise, so now they're against it)
-too expensive (even though they would spend billions to provide healthcare, education, and other social programs...some of which the actual US citizens have trouble getting)
-ineffective (even though the experts, local law enforcement, and local citizens know its effectiveness, but are ignored)

They want to abolish ICE. In the mean time, these sanctuary cities have laws which prevent local law enforcement agents from telling the Federal Agencies that they are detaining non-citzens who are potentially dangerous.

The advocates of sanctuary cities say, "Come here, we have a place for you"...but when Trump says he will send the released detainees to these cities, the advocates suddenly say, "WHOA! Don't dump them here. We don't have a place for them."

So how can you ask "So who exactly is it that is advocating just opening the borders and letting anyone who wants in?" That's the way it is now, and nobody but Trump seems to want to do anything to change it.

What circular logic?

Trump can't even decide what the wall should be. First it was supposed to be along the entire border and mexico was going to pay for it. Then it was only where there wasn't a natural barrier and now we have to pay for it. Now he's calling rebuilding current sections of the wall "building the wall". What's next? Let me know when Trump has an actual plan and we'll discuss it then but it's kind of hard when he moves the goal posts on an almost daily basis.

The calls to abolish ice seem to be coming from a vocal minority rather than the majority.

Do you have any sources showing that sanctuary cities are encouraging people to enter the country illegally and come directly to them?

Last I checked, we didn't have open borders and ice existed before Trump as well as sections of wall. So how is that an open border free for all now all of a sudden?

Why isn't Trump going after people who have overstayed their visa as well? Considering number of visa overstays has been exceeding the number of illegal border crossings wouldn't it make more sense to start with the largest source of people here illegally?

Trump’s age earns him another title: the oldest elected leader of a major world power. According to Quartz, only two countries in the G20 have leaders who are older – Saudi Arabia and Brazil – but neither were democratically elected./QUOTE]

Already, the near-consensus among Trump's foreign counterparts that tariffs on China are causing the global economy to slump appeared to weigh on the President. He told reporters he's had his own misgivings.
"I have second thoughts about everything," he said, without saying what he might be reconsidering.
