Nothing here on RTA's.
I want to be able to analyze the outputs of the stock head unit and then later check the frequency response of the equipment I install.
I found this on checking the stock speaker outputs on MSS: http://www.mobilesoundscience.com/sh...factory-system
I found some info from Bikini on MSS for using the RTA: http://www.mobilesoundscience.com/sh...ead-With-video
I want a laptop based RTA. I am looking for a list of what I need to do this correctly but as cheaply as possible.
I have a Windows 7 laptop but nothing else yet. I downloaded REW although I don't have a clue how to use it but I am sure Bikini's video will get me square once I watch it carefully.
For checking the stock head unit output can I use REW or do I need to use something like TrueRTA?
I am thinking of buying this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER
This: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER
This: http://www.markertek.com/Audio-Equip...-IL-30DB.xhtml
And the Radio Shack leads.
For RTA measurements I believe I also need to add just this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Is this everything I need or what am I forgetting and missing?
Thanks,
The Salami
