    2007 Hyundai Santa Fe - Kevin K

This is an '07 Santa Fe, not normally known for a sound quality vehicle but if it's what you got to work with then you have to make the best of it. It is a daily driver and with that I wanted to be able to have the most space possible left but have a decent sound as well, still be able to carry the family if need be as well as a sheet of birch or mdf on occasion and keep an almost factory look.
    Equipment list
    Headunit - Kenwood KDC-X997
    Processor - miniDSP 2x4Kit
    Amps - Mosconi 120.4 / Kenwood X500.1
    Tweeters - PHD AF1.C
    Mid's - PHD FB6.1 Pro
    Sub - PHD FB10
    RCA Cables - R&D Acoustics
Speaker cable is 14 gauge OFC copper stranded, power and ground 4 gauge OFC copper, with techflex wire covering used throughout along with plastic wire loom

Next, sub duties are handled by PHD's FB10. It is home in a .9cu ft after displacement slot ported to 32Hz. The rear hatch area had a factory storage bin that was removed and the sub enclosure put in place of it along with a false floor to keep the most useable space I could keep. A false floor was bolted down to the factory storage bin location and the enclosure and false floor was attached to it along with braced to the rear seat brackets.
Grill was added to the sub opening area for looks as well as protection to keep items from being dropped in the sub area.

Beside the miniDSP is the fusing for the amps and processor, this will soon be changed as Toolmaker is working on a custom distro/fuse block to fit the area.

RCA cables used are from R&D Acoustics. Very pleased with them, clean, clear and take nothing away from the music, nor add any coloring or noise to it.

    Amplification
The Mosconi 120.4 is responsible for the mids and tweets after receiving signal from the miniDSP and the Kenwood X500.1 supplies signal to the sub. Time alignment for the sub is handled via the Kenwood X997.
Lexan cut to fit for the bottom of the sub amp.

Looks great! Those PHD components look like performers, how do you like them?

That's some top notch work, I really like the "peep show" panel for the sub amp.
