While as a matter of principle (liberty) I have never been a great fan of law enforcement, I now feel compelled, as a matter of principle (justice), to take a position in support of the police, as it has unfortunately come to the point that police (and civilians) have effectively lost the right to even defend themselves from violent aggressors of particular race, gender, class, party and/or ideology.

While we may not agree on the issues surrounding policing in America, perhaps we can at least agree to challenge popular narrative/belief (along with our own biases, beliefs, conclusions, assumptions, etc.) and follow the facts wherever they lead.
