Do You Own a Perfect Power Tool?

I own a variety of power tools ranging from very nice to junk. With one exception, they all have foibles. Little things that could have been better engineered or executed. If you own a perfect tool, post em up and share the knowledge.

Here's mine

Makita 5007MG 7.25" Circular Saw http://www.makitausa.com/en-us/Modules/Tools/ToolDetails.aspx?Name=5007MG

It's lightweight and very smooth cutting. Solid foot that stays square. Big levers for depth and bevel adjustment. Blade change wrench secures in handle. Nice case with extra blade and rip guide storage.

I've used many circular saws and this is as good as it gets.

Ol' Faithful, best grinder ever

One more thing: when I worked for the State Group they had a bunch of the Milwaukee M18 lithium powered tools, and one of the 3/8" drive impact gun and drill kits is definitely on my To Buy list. They seem to come on sale at TSC occasionally, so I just have to time it right...

My Makita DF330 cordless, 10.8v a little monster!

my led-tester, good for 3 to 48v, no problem measuring on can-wires, snap in needle so wirestripping is not needed..

And my circular-handsaw

I don't have many power tools. I love my Milwaukee 1/2" electric impact. Very simple tool that saves me so much time. I'd love to have air tools but it's not really in the budget right now.

Also, I have a Hitachi angle grinder which is a good tool, but I haven't used it that much to have any idea of its reliability. However, I've used these Dewalt wire brushes with the grinder, and I must say that they are awesome...

I have the Makita drill/impact driver combo and I'm really impressed...aside from the battery issues that they have :hmpf:

See, that's why I love my m12. I haven't had a single battery issue. I've been running it going on 3 years and I'm still on the original two batteries it came with. Plus they charge in like 20-25 min.

I've had those about 5 years. Bought the blue one, and 2 months later had a fire. It got the charger and 1 battery. Bought the white one for batteries and charger. I had 1 battery brick about 3 years ago. Since then, I keep em charged and had no issues.

The makita batts have a circuit that monitors for low charge. If it gets too low 3 times, it bricks the battery. The problem comes from the circuit using power in an idle condition. If you store it low on power, it will trip one of your 3 times :(

I've never had a problem with my Bosch batteries. Heck, I even have an Ixo (3.6v lithium) that I charge/use once every 6 months or so and it still rocks on.

Makita are nice tools too, although more expensive over here.
