    Re: 2014 F150 Limited Build

A couple clicks of time alignment is insignificant phase change in the lower frequencies where phase becomes more meaningful. If you can improve your stage with a small time adjustment, go for it?

I would also focus on what frequencies in the stage are not centered. Have you tried playing bandwidth limited pink noise tracks? I would try that with only one pair of channels engaged at a time, like woofers only, then mids only, etc. Somewhere around here we have some Tuning Stones that work great for this
Measure with mics, mark with chalk, cut with torch, grind to fit, sand to finish, paint to match.
Updated Justin tuning sheet (Justin and Erica tuning companion for SMAART and REW)
    Do it for them.

    Re: 2014 F150 Limited Build

I had to replace the passenger side blend door actuator, which required me to remove most of my head unit area/dash anyway, so I figured this was a good time to get apple carplay and such, and why just regular apple carplay when you can get wireless! That was really the reason why I wanted it, to update to newer tech since 2014 sync 2 was outdated in 2014

Did a recent update to the head unit. Installed an idatalink maestro RR, idatalink mft1 kit, and Kenwood ddx9907xr head unit. All in the cost was about $600 for everything. It was all used and in great condition!

It was more work than I expected! I had to cut out quite a bit (and you would too) to get the new head unit to fit. You have to cut basically the top bracket outlined in red in the picture below. A multi tool with a metal blade on it did quick work.....once I went to home depot to get the metal blade since I apparently misplaced mine. You also had to cut the top plastic part above the metal frame.

I didn't just stop here though...since the Kenwood has the ability for 4 additional cameras, I have 3 more cameras to install. One front, one left side, one right side. I am going to arrange the side ones to help with offroading obstacles. The front camera has the ability to auto come one too with the Kenwood. So that is nice.

Nice job on the cut out. Been there many times. I don't mind cutting up an older car but not so much on a newer one. My car is 3 years old now. I think its time to breakout the saw.

Get a multi tool like this (I have a craftsman version). It makes the cutting way easier compared to even a sawzall or grinder (I tried both of those when I couldn't find my metal cutting blade for my multitool). That was taking like an hour to get through what I could. Then I cut out the rest (like 90% of it) with the multi tool in like 10 minutes....

That is my go to tool for just about everything. Mine still has a cord attached to it. It gets used so much that I now want to buy a cordless one. Multitool is a good name for that thing. Guys, do yourself a favor and get one of these tools if you don't already own one.

Yup, they are one of the best tools to cut in small spaces.....or large spaces....or anywhere that is appropriate! It is my go to saw most of the time. That or the dremel or air grinder.
