    Impact Drill Socket Adapter

Anybody use a good one that doesn't snap? I'm only giving these things light to medium use and they all break. I've just used box store ones. I'm not afraid to spend a few bucks on one that stays strong.

    Re: Impact Drill Socket Adapter

    I use a non impact on a 10.8V drill, 1/4" and 3/8".

Even the big impact sets in 1/2" and 3/4 use different extensions which are black coloured and presumably a different alloy.

i suspect you would want the harder stronger alloy?

    I've used these

And the DeWalt version. Both sucked.

I use similar, just in a non impact.
I think that an impact would cause some extra stress or strain.
(... and hence fatigue or failure.)

Century tool and drill part #68580

Boss man got a couple of these a few years ago, and the second one is still in the package in the tool box. Your driver may be stronger than our 18v Makita, so ymmv.

Maybe ask a few local mechanics what's held of for them?
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.

My 36v Hitachi makes that Fuel drill look like this

Mine is obviously tough that's why it's breaking the "impact ready" adapters. I need made for sockets!

I did $40 snap on adapters. I may resort to that. Trying some cheaper stuff first.
