Your thoughts on Stereo Integrity 6.5 versus Morel Hybrid Ovation

    http://stereointegrity.com/product/tm65-6-5-woofer/

I know the TM65 is not in anyone's hands yet but I am wondering about your opinions. I currently have a pair of 6.5 Hybrid Ovation II in the front doors of my Accord. I really like them but I am wondering if the TMs might give me a bit more midbass capability versus my Morels. I am also curious if they should be capable of playing correctly up to the current 2500 HZ crossover point (2 way front).

    Your thoughts and speculation?

They are better in every way. Nick said so.

You should sell me the Morels

Hmm, nick's got a solid rep for building nice subs. At the pre order price, why not? He says on the sight that they have response up to 2500......but I don't know if it's a crossover recommendation, meaning they play nice in the upper midrange, or they have response in that area +/- some deebeez.......With the copper ring, xbl motor, and large xmax it looks to he a well engineered piece, but any comparison to the morels would be purely speculation. If I were in the market for a 6.5, at the pre order cost I'd have a hard time passing up a shot, but already having a quality driver installed might tame my curiosity.......then again Christmas times a comin and all.......

Agreed. For the price, it's tempting just to grab a set and try out.

And now the re-release of the Mag V.3?

Very cool things happening over at Stereo Integrity.

If my wife weren't currently holding my manhood in a vise, I would gladly purchase a pre set from Nick just to try. But then again after 49 years of having them, I've grown kinda fond of them lol...

A buddy of mine at work that's in his late 50's and been married well over 30 years said it's not so bad having his manhood in a jar. At least if it gets lost he can blame it on his wife
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.

^^^ lol which is why I went ahead and ordered a set from Nick. I figured after all of these years of marriage, I don't need the dust that in them anyways so the heck with it.

I have had a set on preorder for a bit as well to use in my wife's build along with the Scan D3004/6020-00 and the Scan 10f/8414G "full range". It looks to be an excellent option for a midbass application. I'll also give it a test in 2-way with just the tweeters when I install them to give you guys some feedback.
