Anyone who knows anything knows what I mean by saying a speaker is "faster". A bad design will lag causing it to sound muddy/blurry/distorted.
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.

Back in the day Cerwin Vega had its place for me because my needs were different. The ones I have are still great at getting loud as hell and would be great as mains in a full HT setup. They just aren't hifi enough for a reference setup.

I forget the name exactly... but a time domain waterfall plot shows the impulse response.

Erin uses waterfall plots and REW graphs , even a "Klippel" ( better than T/S parameters , as it tests the speakers with power being put to them )

Queef sent me a pm last night basically telling me the Elac's I bought were piles of crap compared to his Jantzen's. Well these sound good to me as well as countless other pairs of picky ears so Andrew Jones must know wtf he's doing. Probably should have mentioned this but y'all need to know what kind of person he truly is.

LOL at $420 plus tax being a months salary. I made more than that in OT alone over the past few weeks

Elac's are probably the safest thing going in the budget category. Andrew Jones is a legend in speaker design. Regardless of that I'm not sure why anyone would criticize someone spending a few hundred bucks for home speakers.
