    Bookshelf recommendations?

Santa is going to bring me a pair of bookshelf's for Christmas, but he needs help. They go in mancave(garage) off 100 watt receiver. Prefer 6.5 woofers. Budget is $300 for the pair. So far, looking at these

Any input on those, or others that fit criteria is welcome

Those don't look like bookshelves...they look like bookshelf speakers

    Re: Bookshelf recommendations?

These are supposed to be the "be all, end all" budget bookshelves. Might wanna give them some consideration too..........

I think the woofs are 5's, and they retail for 50 bucks over yer budget, but, they have rave reviews as the absolute best sounding speaker at anywhere near their price. Wharfdale builds their own drivers and crossovers in house........

+1 for the Diamonds, boo on the Berries. I love that brand, but have been let down by its speakers. If you want a good desktop setup for the pc, then they're fine - if your needs are more hifi, then don't.

Or, you can build a pair on your own, like I did - and it sounds wonderful (not to brag about it but it does).

Thanks for the input. Santa and I are in negotiations over the Wharfedales. Otherwise, will be a choice between Behringers and filling some Dayton cabs with Morel tweets and Fountek mids.
