Thank You Sir. I got the wire clips from Amazon, they come in singles and pairs for a few sizes. I have used them for a while now and always been happy with them.
I have read on here that the fans can get noisy in these Mmats amps, so thanks to the write-up here from JimmyDee, I upgraded both fans to Noctua’s and got an SMD fan controller. That should take care of things.
With the amp rack all wired up and the fans fixed, it was time to get all the rear panels put back in, the rack bolted down and the speaker wires run up the sides.
I am using CDT Unity 8’s for differential rear fill and have them mounted in the c-pillars. I got them installed and wired up while putting everything back.
A couple of weeks ago was the last time I got to work on my truck. I installed a Mechman 250 amp alternator and upgraded the power wires with 1/0 and started on the grounds.
I was able to get my terminal cups mounted to the sub box today, thanks to some spacers a friend machined for me (DeLander). Then I got the subs mounted and the box installed and wired up.
With the rear of the cab all buttoned up, I started on the dash. I ended up going with Frog GB25’s in the stock location, the Xcelsus XXM325’s weren’t going to fit without removing more plastic than I felt like doing at this time. I will probably get back to this when I have more time.
Then I mounted some Scan 3004’s in Valicar pods and bolted them to the A-pillars. Once I got the dash put back together I figured out how much I didn’t care for the pods.
I got started sealing up the doors and installing the mid bass last week. Initially I was going to go with Dynaudio mw172’s, but the adapters I got put the driver to far off of the door and the panel wouldn’t go back on. I am going to have some new adapters made and try again later. I had a set of Fi n.7’s that fit, for now.
I drove around with the pods for a couple of weeks, and I couldn’t take it. I switched to Morel MT450’s and mounted them in the sail panels. Much better, they almost look factory.
