Central/North AL Fall GTG Saturday, October 10, 2020

BigAl's Fifth Annual Big Birthday Bash!

I normally hold this in November, but the Kung-flu Hustle has messed with everybody's plans, and Jason Berthlomey (Afghan Vet) is having his big meet on 11/6. So, instead of celebrating my birthday, we're going to honor my good friend Glenn's big day, which is Oct 1. I realize this might interfere with the competition season, but we'll see how things pan out...

I would like to invite everyone over to listen to some cool audio systems, and hang out and cut up with your friends. We will probably also have a pre-meet and tuning session the night before.

The place: My house in Hayden, AL (about 25 miles north of Birmingham)
    The date: Saturday, October 10
    The time: 9AM to 9PM

    Optional things to bring:
    - your favorite demo music
    - a folding chair
    - a camera
    - Tools and tuning equipment
    - a friend
    - a canopy

I hope to see you there!

Assuming things don’t change, I plan on being there.

    If anyone has any interest, I have the following items for sale that I can bring to the meet;
    1) Helix DSP Pro Mk1 - Great condition, really low hours.
    2) Pair of Acoustic Elegance SBP12 4ohm subs. Originally lovingly owned by erinh. I ran these IB in my Mustang and loved them... have SBP15's in my Audi.

What’s the headcount so far? Any returns from last year or did we scare everyone off?

    I'm thinking we'll have between 8-10 people.

Either too much or not enough cuddles?

You have to be a little on the strange side to not be at least somewhat afraid. I hear Glenn might be giving piggy back rides
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.

Al, which of these three routes would be the best if I'm coming south on I-59

I've only gone thru Ashville, and it's not bad...just 2-lane country roads.
