You betcha! Only progress today was taking apart the wiring harness and changing it to accommodate the new plan. Not sure any of it will be finished by next weekend, but do plan on having it playing by then with a basic tune.

Had a day off to work on the car a bit. Decided to install the NVX gear for a test run, see how it all sounds.
Started with baffles for the mids. The factory speakers have this nifty baffle attached to the by nine, eight screws and it's removed. Decided to use it since the fit is good. Made a quick template of the shape out of some Lauan plywood:
Then transferred that to a scrap piece of MDF:
Bandsaw got it pretty close, but a flush trim bit on the router table will make things nice and tidy:
Got lucky on this next part. The speaker, being a 6.5", has a larger width than the factory 6x9" - turns out one of these spare Morel grilles laying around is the exact diameter as the NVX woofer, and worked perfect for the flush trim bit:
Alrighty then, sooooo. Out with the old:
And in with the new:
Also snuck these in:
No pics of the tweeter baffles, they are kinda crappy. Cut out in a hurry on the bandsaw and snapped the blade. Had to finish with the jigsaw. But at least the tweeters aren't falling through the dash openings anymore! Hope to make some nicer ones another day.

when are you going to get a 1/4" spiral trim bit for a router? Would have made your job a whole lot easier. Looking good though!

Definitely need to do that. Got some nasty kick back a couple times with that flush trim bit with the MDF.
