Re: Donation Thread for Military Veteran and Fellow SQ Enthusiast
So I put this in the build log forum - I will likely ask Al to change the title or move this thread to OT in the future when there are more true build pics.
I mostly wanted to let my Junky friends know what was going on if it wasn't seen on the other site. If you feel inclined to donate, it would be greatly appreciated.
I was fortunate to finally have my two AA IB subs sell so I could donate toward the install cost (I was going to donate the amount anyway, now I can do it without grief from the wife )

Jason, this is an amazing thing you are doing. I wish there were more people that did things like this for our Vets, they deserve every bit of it, all of you do.

Wow Mr. Jason! This is amazing! It's exciting seeing this build come together. Truly inspiring to see how much was contributed to make everything happen for Mr. Dustin, and he is the most deserving person I have met. You guys (and gals, can't forget the wives and girlfriends who support this hobby) ROCK!!!
Are you not entertained?!?!

Great job guys! I'm proud to be part of something like this, especially for one of the brave Americans willing to put it all on the line for my sorry azz. Thanks for your service guys.

Re: Donation Thread for Military Veteran and Fellow SQ Enthusiast
Thanks Fellas.....and I want to say specifically.......Steve (Captainobvious) spearheaded this entire enterprise. We both met Dustin at the NC Meet this past Fall, and we heard his story. We both came away inspired (as did you Daniel - I believe you were the one who contributed the version 1 Sundown subs that were updated - awesome!), but Steve started the thread on the other site and contacted the folks in the industry who donated equipment. He even drove down from Philadelphia for an entire weekend to work many hours on the build. I was humbled by his efforts and commitment.
Mark is still working on the build, and I'll post any new pics I receive.

Re: Donation Thread for Military Veteran and Fellow SQ Enthusiast
I'm well behind with updating the thread over here- sorry guys. The short of it is that Dustin was in the process of relocating and he is now up in the northeast near me. So I've taken the reigns to get back to doing this build and finish what we collectively started.
The car is at my house in PA and I've been working as time allows over the past couple months to tackle this HUGE project. The list of tasks is long, but here is a quick and basic breakdown:
Trunk build out with false floor
Dash build for speakers
A pillars
Kicks
Front sub if possible
Dash bezel for gauges and source
I started the trunk layout work a little while back and then got tied up in doing the dash. I'll follow up now with pics of the dash work so you can see where I'm at with it.
