    Cabin Fever Remedy

Since I haven't procured all the necessary pieces to install my mobile system yet, but I am still super excited and learning a lot from all you guys and gals, I thought I'd show what you have inspired me to attempt...Name: image.jpg

I'm not super sure of my usage of the calculations on the bcae1 website, but it should be in the vicinity of .4 cubic feet, and play to an f3 of 55 Hz, and they will crossover at 3000 Hz. Once I have sanded them down, I think I am going with an Arctic White high gloss finish with black chrome spikes. All the reviews I have read about Silver Flute say they are very musical, and a great value for the money. As of now, I have a total of under $100 invested in the pair...

Nice! Looks like a fun TM floorstander.

I have three tang band W6-789E drivers on the shelf that I'd like to do something quite like that with, maybe using something like an SB29 tweeter. Problem is zero passive crossover experience. But would be fun.

Me too, but I watched the video on Parts Express website on building them, then ordered a prebuilt one for a 2-way system crossed at 3000...lmao!!! If they sound good, I'm going to start replacing my Onkyo 7.1 surround system with home builds. Once the little guys have been tackled, I'm thinking some monster towers that I could work on over an entire winter...

Nitpicky I know.. Just wondering are you going to flush in the driver flanges?

Not in this first build. I'm going to see how these sound, and if it is good, then I will start flushing in all hardware. I currently don't have a router table, so all my holes are cut on a drill press, which makes it difficult to countersink. I will be buying equipment as I go along.

Built this today, while I'm waiting for paint to dry on other speakers. Sounds ok for 10 watt amp and less than $20!
