    I think the smoked looks best, but I've had smoked covers before and they make night driving a bit more difficult

    If I go the smoked route it will be replacing the whole assembly with a DOT approved smoked aftermarket housing with no further darkening. No covers or sprays or films that could be an issue with certain cops or whatever.

    I like clear fronts on that truck. My white Ranger had clear fronts and it looked good.

    Keep in mind that anything tinted, however lightly, will predispose you to be at fault in accidents.

    Even if it's blatantly obvious that he's not at fault. Certain cops and insurance companies can be really difficult to deal with even in the most black and white type of situations. I personally like the clear better, but the smoked look up front looks like something that would have to grow on a lot of people.
    They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.
