ugh......
ZOMFG, what will happen if I run my Alpine with 4V outputs into my PG M25 that takes a max of 2V input?! Will it instantly implode?!?!
I tested my ARC tiny amp with an output that will swing up to +/-15V
What is the need for such high output voltage? If an amp only takes xV input, and you have a HU and line driver with a final output >>xV, is it not in the interest of better SNR etc. to remove the line driver from the chain?
I was just testing it with the output of my P4800...
Globally, I dunno, I get tiny fractions of a volt from a stage to a mixing console thru sometimes hundreds of feet of wire on noisy stages full of dimmer racks and shit, then running all the way to FOH alongside an AC cable.... No issues.... If one can't get two volts to the trunk of a car they got's issues.
It's something that's taken too far, just like the "ZOMG I have 4 runs of 1/0AWG for my 3.5kW amp! Electrical for dayzzzzz!". And not saying it happened on this forum, but does happen quite a bit.
Anyway, back on topic, OP what are you thinking about a micro amp? Some good ones have been named here. What features do you need? Or just quality power?

I've heard people say the really small footprint amps can be "lifeless" sounding from the lack of pleasurable distortion. I for one can appreciate pleasurable distortion. Would something like the Victory tube preamp on these really small amps give the "tone" that some of us might be missing from the pigs we ran back in the day?
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.
