...from Europe. Call me Kevin. I work in the motorcycle accessory business. I'm a man of many interests.

I've been into Car Audio for 15 years now, am an avid forum reader but don't post a lot - mainly because I never actually finish an install so I don't bother making build logs (or pictures, for that matter). That's going to change now, since I've started my first install that I'm actually completing. You know: nice wiring, functionality, heck I'm even going to upholster this one! Before this one I've only ever had bare MDF in all of my trunks.

I used to be over on CAF back in the early 2000's, maybe some old timers also made it here? I don't see too many screen names from back then that are still around. Mine was different though, it reflected my nationality (I'm from Belgium).

Oh yeah, back in 2012 I won the only EMMA SQ comp I entered with the budget setup I put into my weekend car (1991 3G Prelude) so to have some sound in there. Basic HU - Amp - active two way - sub install. So basic I got a big fat zero for install and won purely on sound. My tweeters were Velcro-ed on and the trunk was just some bare MDF with a sub box held in place by two L-profiles. After my daily, I'm starting on that one too. So, expect two build logs from me in the next few... months or years, probably. I work slowly as time and money allow.

It seems that visual is more important than audio. If you can pay more for the name brands, you do ! Making a suave install with incredible attention to detail is the bare minimum a competitor would risk here.
