    Princecraft Deck Boat install

The other day, my dad gave me a challenge. He said to me, "I want you to install a sub and amp for the sub and the 4 speakers in the boat. Budget is whatever you need it to be." A week later, $1220 in marine audio equipment has been ordered. We are going with a JL marine 5ch, 10" JL marine sub, SHCA 4ga, 2 secondary batteries separated from the main battery by a battery isolator, and a Kenwood marine bluetooth headunit. I am hoping to get all the equipment this week, as well as have it installed within a couple weeks. We are not sure what batteries we will be using as of right now.

Cool. I always wanted to upgrade the speakers and add a sub in our boat.

You should name it the Magic Boat and get some people to claim it's the best sounding boat ever.

    Re: Princecraft Deck Boat install

Got the secondary battery in, isolator wired up, and head unit installed today, all that's left is to mount the amp, run power and ground for the amp, run speaker wire for the sub, cut the hole for the sub, seal up the livewell/enclosure, and get bumpin

Ran power, ground, and voltmeter signal/battery isolator signal wires today as well as hooked up the amp and tuned it, and the improvement even without the sub in yet is freaking amazing.

    Re: Princecraft Deck Boat install

Looking good. Probably wouldn't hurt to treat that 150 Opti with a 21p Trophy or Tempest prop as wellThe Tempest would be a little faster with better holeshot. Trophy holds the water better, corners better, and gives better fuel economy. Holeshot could be better, but that's just part of the puzzle. Tempest likes to be high on the transom, Trophy low on transom. Yes, I'm a boat guy and setup snob.
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.
