2004 Chevy Silverado..
Picked it up last night from my Father In Law, he has been banned from having a truck because as a triple bypass patient he has the tendency to do things with trucks he should not. Got it for a great price and it only has 56K miles on it.
Was toying with rebuilding the Dakota but I am selling it as there is no way we can afford it in 2 years when the boy starts driving, and he would probably wrap it around a pole anyway. This thing is lucky to get out of it's own way.
Needs: Tint and a hitch
I think GM used foam surround speakers, I was not going to touch it and live with the AM (AND FM) radio but it's rattling bad and one door speaker is completely non-functional for anything other than a percussion instrument.
Install goals are stupid simple. I'm thinking about actually pulling the JL wedge enclosure out of the dakota, buying a great set of coaxials, a tiny 4 ch amp and a headunit without a CD player... and being done.
The FIL will still probably drive it so I can't go wild, Although I thought about doing my first horn rig. I may even put a Ned switch in it that disables the bigger audio and turns on his rear left speaker that he likes so much.
