(Edit: do I need to unplug the ANC? my car was built November 2022, it should have the updated ANC? I'm using a non-powered Subwoofer. It will be powered by a separate aftermarket JL Audio VX amp).

I always disable the ANC systems in vehicles I add subwoofers to.

Why is it not recommended to upgrade on a Hybrid Sport the simple OEM 8 speakers and adding a 10" subwoofer in the trunk? The factory sound is horrible. Lolol.
I'm keeping head unit stock, of course.

    Who doesn’t recommend it?

Here are the items I'm adding. Pro Audio shop is installing it for me.

JL Audio 10" W6 in factory HO (JL Audio HO110-W6v3 high out) box.
    JL Audio VX1000i 5ch Amplifier.
    JL Audio Fix86 module.
JL Audio DRC-205 to adjust BASS-control knob.

Morel Maximo Ultra 602 2-way Components to replace front speakers.
Morel Maximo Ultra Coaxial to replace rear deck speakers for rear fill sound.

I'm also having them DYNAMAT the whole Trunk, Trunk lid, and Rear Deck Lid.
    I don't want any rattles.

I'll lose Trunk space, but that's ok by me.
Gas mileage will suffer a bit bc of the added weight. Will the hybrid batteries under the rear seats be affected? I really don't know what to expect.
What are the other negatives in adding this upgraded Audio to a 2022 Hybrid Sport?
I'm keeping stock battery and alternator.

    Thank you
Your product list is solid and I’m not sure what the negatives are. I am trying to figure out if we’re talking about a Honda Accord or another vehicle though.

I posted this in the other thread, but if you are not commited to that shop installing stuff, check out vanguard automotive for a one stop shop. They will install and tune using very high quality components
    https://vanguardautomotivedesign.com/

They also have experiences with fully electric and hybrid vehicles and can assist you with all of your questions. Nick (skizer on other forums) is great to work with.

Thank you for the reply, and yes it's a 2022 ACCORD HYBRID Sport trim.
I've tried asking on other 2022 Accord Hybrid Sport (1.5L) forums with no definite answer. This place seems to have more Audio professionals and amazing advice.

I've also reached out to OPTIMA battery company for their Yellow Top battery to replace mine. They informed me that the class 51 (size) they have in Yellow Top is 450 CCA. My car battery stock is 500 CCA. They don't have a Yellow Top for my '22 Accord HYBRID SPORT.

I ask also, because on the Crutchfield website, that a ACCORD Hybrid is not the car to choose for upgrading Audio. Not to go over 30amp and 350w RMS????

Here is the LINK. They highlighted in blue.
May you give me your opinions on this?
JL Audio rep said the VX1000i 5ch amp doesn't pull that much power?
    What does that mean?

    https://www.crutchfield.com/S-iXKgc4...da-accord.html
Amplifiers aren't a constant draw. If they made 1000 watts constantly, there would be no way to vary the volume. While that JL Audio amp is capable of producing 1000 watts, it won't during daily use. In fact, it may never the entire time you own it. If your plan is to listen to various forms of music whilst you drive, the current demands on the electrical system will be very small. If you plan on building an SPL car, you might want to rethink purchasing a hybrid or EV.

He charges $850$-1000 for a Audio tune, is that a fair price?

    Thanks
That’s up to you because everyone has a different opinion on “fair”. With the amount of money you want to invest in product, maybe so. I’d try to find a shop that you trust to buy the products, install, and tuning from. If you’re buying their “product” (in this case, their product is the total package of equipment, installation/fabrication, and tuning services they are providing), the tuning portion of the bill is likely lower than $1k because they are making money on other aspects of the job.

Same thoughts, get someone to do it all and you will end up saving some money. Also, maybe drive up to vanguard and hear one of their demo vehicles, then get a demo at the other shops you are thinking of having do the install. See which one you like best for the cost. These sould be in car demo's of their tuning, not a sound board in a shop.
