    Well, without knowing exactly how they wired it, we would all just be guessing.

    What you probably need to do is rip all the wiring out and re-do it correctly. Who knows what they messed up and where. It will probably end up being faster starting over with the wiring anyway.

    On the amp, swapping the front (1/2) outputs with the rear (3/4) should fix it (and vice versa)

    ...assuming there's nothing else amiss

    Make sure the power is off while making the change. Hot-swapping them could cause issues

    That won't just change it so the fronts no longer work properly?

    When faded to the rear, only the front speakers play and when faded to the front or middle, all of the speakers play. Is this correct? What is the source and how are the input switches on the amp set?

    Swapping RCAs is an easy test...it either fixes it, or it doesn't. If it doesn't fix it, put it back the way it was and move on to another troubleshooting step.
