    Re: 01 BMW SQ Silky

Ok so that took longer than planned but worked out just as we worried the rear deck was to thin to weld 1.5" x 1.5" x 1/4" angle iron to. So plan B weld corners to deck and then bolt across with 5/16 bolts and nylon insert nuts on the frame top to rear deck. The vertical frame braces were welded to the top and bottom angle iron frame as well as the car frame. We added a doubled up center brace. Needless to say it is solid. Should help with the tactile sound element. This is getting fun! ! :-) :-)

Black silicone in between the angle iron and the rear deck around the bolted portion. This should assure no buzzing and rattles from the thinner metal hitting the angle iron. Double support center very very sturdy. More updates tomorrow I'm tired.

Yea should be we'll see although they are more SQ drivers they still can get busy and reek havoc. I will admit sometimes I am victim to an in car concert/club moment. It can get pretty realistic! :-)
