That is freaking amazing in all ways...
The install needed to be absolutely top notch to do justice to that unbelievably rare, expensive, awesome VW double cab that's likewise in absolutely top notch custom shape.
And you hit the mark - I especially love the detail of the curved edges below the rear seat - or rather the lines that were added to it. It looks like the seams of the stamped steel panels overlapping each other, like the stock seat bases could have been. It looks legitimately genuine, yet wildly custom and modern.
    So good.

Similarly - the integration of the speakers into the front wall and dashboard - it's absolutely beautifully minimal, and that makes it pop.

I never like the way people say "try to make it look stock" because that just always seems to miss the mark in my opinion, especially with a custom ride like this where exceeding stock is the goal. But "exceeding" sends the wrong message too - I think the best installs look effortless, and you've nailed that here. It just all looks proper, for this cal-look VW show truck.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Working on the 6, 4, tweet for the rear, trim out panel for the top of the subs, & an overhead display to be used for engine management, audio, & air ride.

Added the 6,4, tweet to the rear of the double cab before it went to the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona California. Wrapped in factory headliner material, trimmed out with polished black acrylic, over the edge of the white painted fiberglass surrounding the drivers.

    Will surely do so.

Some pics before we put back the windows last week......still have to fit the upgraded rear disc brakes, brake lines, engine and transmission before diving into sound deadening......should be a fun project.

Wow man a full on restoration. Most dont understand how much work it is to go that deep. Looking forward to seeing the progress.
