Just looked on the 2nd page of the plans, it says "7/16 OSB"
It's literally snowing and settling on the ground now. Unreal.
This garage is cursed...
The snow is still coming down, heavily. Ridiculous, finally start to get some real noticeable progress, it snows. Which even with it forecast to turn to rain later and melt quickly, means at least a couple days for the ground to dry out enough without it being a muddy swamp.
Wow! We’re only getting spotty rain here in PA. Isn’t it supposed to be spring?
Walls are all complete now, ordered the wood I need to get the roof on. Glad I ordered the OSB now, noticed at Lowes it was already back up to $47 a sheet, ordered from a supplier while it was $42. Even if I have to store it in the garage for a few weeks and park the car outside, it should at least save me a little. Work starting on the chimney today, then need to get the garage door header beam installed before the roof can start.
Trying to wrap my head around what else I need and how much budget I have left, hoping that other than the actual garage door, roof shingles and labor for roof (unless I attempt it myself) that all the big stuff is now paid for. Literally, every single aspect of this is just constantly going up in price.
Just because I'm using your thread to catalog OSB prices....I noticed 7/16 is down to $28.35
2002 330Ci & 2020 Tacoma
If you can keep that to yourself.... I already stock piled some at $42 a sheet. Damn it!! Oh well, if I kept waiting on prices for things I would never actually get this thing finished.
In other garage news, not much has happened, walls and chimney are finished, the concrete is supposed to be here sometime in the next few days. I'm also waiting on a couple people to get back to me with a cost on the roof (already bought the materials).
Since I also mentioned it way back in this thread, I finally got the hot tub hooked up yesterday. Ended up pulling the wire through the house (that sucked) and wiring it up, had a scare when I blew a fuse after forgetting to remove a jumper converting it from 120 to 240V, but luckily just the fuse blew and it did not toast the whole board. I need to move the cover though, with the way the cover currently lifts off, it blocks the view of the mountains. Figure when I drain it to change the water I'll just move that over.
Not gonna lie, was nice getting it powered up and sitting in it last night for a few. It also made the wife very happy, so that's a win.
