For those that grow herbs and/or flowers:
Many of them have medical benefits that you can extract.
It would be difficult to eat enough of a single herb to treat something, but with tincture, you can.

Herb plants also give you way more than you can consume.
Tinctures can be made with dry or fresh herbs.

How to: toss said herbs into a glass jar 3/4 full, then fill the rest with cheap vodka. You can also use a 1:5 herb to vodka ratio (by weight).

Let it extract for 6+ weeks (shake every other day) then strain it. What you're left with is a tincture you can take directly or add to your teas/drinks.

My personal favorite is oregano and clove tincture that I use to clear out any bacteria under bridge I have in my mouth as it's difficult to thoroughly clean it. Works like a charm.
Second one is perilla, which stops a runny nose quick.
