    Strength of Fleece + Resin

I've build a FG sub box, but that's the extent of my experience with resin. I will need to do some custom work for my Dakota. What do you more experienced ladies and gentlemen think about the strength and durability of a fleece + resin speaker door pod?

Rad! I'm not exactly the most coordinated person and though I will try not to smash the door with my foot, it will inevitably be beat up a little.

Fleece and resin are fine if the fiberglass is cosmetic, otherwise you need a couple layers of matt and resin over that for sure. That along with a layer of body filler will be adequate for up to a 6.5'' driver, otherwise a couple more layers of matt and resin and necessary.

    No physical strength from resin.

Fiberglas is what strengthens the enclosure, literally the glass fibers crossing each other like an X

one going this way and the other one going that way.

I'd agree... fleece and resin will hold a shape, but once you go to screwing a driver into it that is playing constantly, slamming of doors, feet bumping and kicking them, you are going to wish you'd take the time to do some mat, I think. A couple layers is quick and easy and will give you LOADS more strength. Don't skimp on it and be pissed later.
