SKODA SUPERB A-Pillars HAT L3SE+JBL C660GTI by LBaudio

Hello guys,...its been a while I last posted here,...so let me introduce one of the latest projects - a-pillars for Skoda Superb that will house Hybrid Audio Technologies L3SE and JBL C660 Tweeter.. Pillars have open back and are vented under the dash. Finish is Two tone paint - Texturized mat black and hi-gloss black metalic.
here are some pics of the progress and final product:

    drivers used for project:

    fabrication of speaker rings

Tweeter cups were drawn in 3D software and3D printed to preserve originals

dash was taped off with ALU tape

base for pillars was shaped and attached to the original A-Pillar. Template was made also at this point

    Testing of positions and angles

    rings attached to the pillar

What process did you use to texture the grain portion of the pillars?

    Excellent work!

    Thanks Chris!

Painter set his paint gun to achieve this texture.

    Thanks Lojze.

I’ve tried SEM texture in the past, but I wasn’t able to get the results I wanted.

Sounds like you and I use a similar method to replicate that OEM grain texture.
Ive found that just using an “overspray” pattern works best.

    Thanks again!
