Tweeter sails finished and installed. Next the tune. I may try and find out how to use the auto eq in the Helix to start and go from there. The guys at HAT will
do it but it’s a 6 hour drive.

Re: 2015 F-250...the long way around.

In looking for a tuner closer to me I contacted Big Al in hopes of finding someone in the Bham area. he was gracious enough to offer helping me out with the tune personally. I was tinkering with my system a bit by going back through my gain settings and following dumdum's instructions on the Helix input sensitivity settings. The sound is really quite enjoyable even without the tune but I can tell that the highs need to be reduced just a bit to blend in better and I also noticed the mid bass were a little low. I looked at the mid bass and found an issue. The door frame has the drivers slanted by design but the excursion of 9mm is being choked down due to being too close to the door grill. No adapters are used for the mount so this means I need to have the door grills cut out and a raised custom grill made and installed so that I can gain another 1/4" of space in front of the drivers.
