    Headunit Question

Hey guys. I am planning on running a Raspberry PI as my headunit with a DAC that can put out both optical and RCA signals. My question is: if I use the optical output to a Helix DSP, will the Helix allow me to have F/R fade capabilities?

    Re: Headunit Question

No. It is a 2 channel PCM signal.

So your Pi can't supporting fading, but you may be able to support fading in the Helix by means of a Director. The URC.3 will not support it, but the Director may.

I think you can use a conductor for rear volume if it’s an ACO processor…
