    2006 Lexus RX330

Finally getting around to starting my build and I can't promise it'll happen fast, but it will happen LOL

    Vehicle:
    2006 Lexus RX330

    Gear:
    Alpine iLX-W650 Head Unit
    JL Audio TWK88 Processor
Morel Tempo Ultra 692 tweeter and 6x9 Midbass
    Morel MSW114 4'' Midrange
    Soundstream TN2.600D (midbass)
    Soundstream TN4.900D (tweet/midrange)
    Soundstream TN1.1200D (sub)
    Audiomobile GTS 2110 S2

    Deadening:
46.5 sqft Sonic Barrier MX-4 Max
    18 sqft Noico 80 mil
    1/2 lb/sqft MLV
    Butyl Rope
    Cloth Tape
    1/16'' PSA backed CCF
    Bonded Cotton Radiant Barrier

    Charging System:
    240-amp JS Alternator (ordered)
    1/0 Main Power Wire
1/0 Ground Upgrades (multiple extra grounds)
    1/0 Alternator Cable/Ground
    6/0 Battery Ground
    Everstart AGM Group 24F

    I did not get pictures of the ground and power upgrades, but here's what I have done;
-6/0 ground to car body from battery
-1/0 ground from 6/0 body location to engine block and firewall ground
-1/0 from passenger side body to 2 spot on engine block, one being the alternator
-1/0 main charging cable from battery to alternator (in progress)
-4 gauge starter wire (car cranks stupid fast now)

Plans are for a relatively simple head unit install with a Metra kit, harness and steering wheel controls adapter.

Midbass will go in an extremely deadened door with a baffle made from 3/4 black HDPE stacked to 1.5''

Midrange and tweeter will go into custom fiberglass a-pillars.

Subs, amp and processor will go under a stock-looking cargo area floor. Design is still in process. I have some red acrylic, some aluminum laminated ABS and a few other fun materials I may consider using. May have an LED strip or two hanging around.

Simple update, please excuse the dirty engine compartment, it's been raining a whole bunch! What you are seeing is a pair of military grade battery terminals with a 1/0 main power run going to a circuit breaker mounted with rivnuts to the upper bulkhead panel.

    Re: 2006 Lexus RX330

Did some deadening today on the rear hatch. Added some Noico 80 on the outer skin, inner skin and panels. Also put some CCF on top of the CLD. Hatch area was already very quiet, so I didn't go any further and also wanted to keep from making the hatch too heavy for the auto open and shut.
