As I understand it, THD and Noise will be higher at low volume because the noise is generally at a non-changing level and is therefore lower relative to full output. Those are both relative measurements.

Yeah but the distortion in a switching amp should be higher as the switching goes towards 1 pulse.
in a class D the noise should probably be lower than a class-AB or class-A?
