    Re: F150 2018

I did some basic tuning on the GB60's.
Before, I think this was the passenger side.

I had this roll-off in the midrange on my last speakers too. My crossovers are correct. This is the reason I went to 3 ways. Just going to fix it a bit until the GB25's arrive.

    Again, massive rolloff.

I received the amp rack. I should have some time to work on it this weekend. The back of my truck is a mess right now. It is driving me nuts. I just threw stuff together so I could get something working. This will make a good before photo.

And here is the enclosure. I decided not to spend time staining and rounding over the edges since I am going to add a second W7 later this year. I do not need 2 W7's. One is too loud for the front stage. But I want a second one for the occasional SPL. I did not want to drill a hole in my new enclosure, so just ran the speaker wire out the port.

What is the best way to mount the amps to the board? I was thinking bolts through the back with a washer and wingnuts on the front. Or should I just use screws? The DC 2.0k is pretty heavy.

I used hurricane nuts on the back. I used my heat gun to heat the abs plastic up and then just lightly hammered the hurricane nut in (after drilling the appropriate hole). This basically glued them in.

Great idea thank you. I think a #8-32 will work. I found some at parts express.

How are you liking the DC 2k?
I have one for two frog GB12’s and two DC 90x4 for the front stage. I will get to install everything in April, in my 16 Silverado.

I really like it. It is underrated and dynamic. The bass knob does all of its attenuation close to the lowest setting. Only downside mine has. Maybe a bad pot.

    Re: F150 2018

Well right after I posted that I was out in the garage measuring some things, and I figured out how hard it was going to be to mount all of my equipment under and behind my seat. So I switched things up and I am going to go with 2 little Mmats hifi6150d’s.

    I need to hear this.
A man cannot become a hero until he can see the root of his downfall
