I appreciate that. I see alot of installs done by local shops and they make me sick quite often. If I wasn't almost 40, I would pursue that.

If you watch what he does, you'll get better.

I know. But just when I feel good about my install someone like Glenn comes along and makes me feel like a noob.

My problem with building is I start out with good intentions, then get impatient. Next thing you know, I'm cutting corners just to get the install finished.

    Glenn's 2013 GMC Sierra

My problem is my ambition is greater than my skill level. That's why I have vinyl wrapped door pods that appear not quite factory. They don't look like crap by any means, but to a keen eye...

The thing that makes me sad is, I honestly did my best. That's why KISS is such a great concept I suppose.

People like Glenn and Bing and Joey make all the multilevel baffles and racks that include flush mounts, trim rings, inserts, grills, face plates, an all kinds of other small details that bring the feel of the install to the next level. I'm pretty creative, but I can't think of stuff like that. I have spent hours looking at picture of Bing's install trying to figure out how he makes those bad ass sub boxes with the pop in recessed face and a slick looking grill mounts. There's always some picture of a step in the process that I just don't understand. It's frustrating, I wish I had the opportunity to apprentice in a shop of that quality on weekends or something.

Bing's work is absolutely astounding. I have looked at each one of his build threads and hope to one day be able to come close to his skills.
