Lining a ported sub box

Should I line my ported sub box??? With what? How will it help? Thanks. (my box has 2 12'' Pioneers, 1.5 cu ft. each, single rectangular port)

A sufficiently sized, braced and sealed subwoofer enclosure need not be lined with anything.

Btw, bear in mind that while the initial post of an Introductions thread shows up in the Live Feed, subsequent posts do not, which might mean fewer folks notice and potentially respond to this thread than if it were in General Car Audio, for example.
