the most impressive part of all of it is the total lack or reguard for the time and monies it takes to do this kinda thing. I doubt that he had much secured in the way of financial help at the start of it. great work and thanks

The end results were quite interesting. It really did show how much bias for a specific amp based on name and "heritage" can have on it's perceived sound.
I just did a quick read of the non-blind/blind evaluations. Absolutely fascinating, my first time to see such a comparison. I need to study the document more to understand the conditions.
I can see how this could be like herding cats.
I have nothing but the highest regard and appreciation for you creating and proctoring this comparison. Many thanks and I hope I can participate in one if this makes a road show appearance in NC this Spring.
Do you/anyone think that some sort of training may be helpful in participating in this type of test? I feel that I may not be able to articulate the differences that I hear besides very general terms. In addition what reference would a nobody like me have to compare the sound against? I'm not sure I would know what the source material is actually 'supposed' to sound like. My bias may be very real because i want the D7 to sound the best
Thanks Kendal
It's nice to be able to listen to a reference you're familiar with, and then there's all of the other factors, like a different room, different speakers, etc.
FWIW, in testing the rig initially, my buddy clearly favored the D7 amp, despite it being the lowest powered. It drove his Martin Logan Ascent's EXTREMELY well.
