I used Noico on my car, based on several good reviews. I also used Sonic Barrier in some spots. I won some Resonix at one of Nick's shows and when I went to install it (say 1.5 years after initial installation) both brands had melted, and the rear deck would ring in spots even with deadener on it. The Resonix was a much better product. When I do the next update on the Mazda, I'll see how the Resonix has held up.

BMW really nailed the body design on this series of coupe in my opinion. Cool project.

The paint process has begun on the front bumper.

I think the bumper covers have been replaced before. It looks like the covers came out of the box, got sprayed and put on the car. Here is the paint committing suicide.

I couldn't figure out what this spot was. I couldn't get it to pop out and there was no bulb behind it so.......

    I started sanding

Oh its a reflector that they just painted directly over. thanks

The process is sand the old paint off with 60 grit, knock down with 220, clean, filler primer, sand with 400/600 depending on how it feels, clean, paint, clear.

The paint does not go nearly as far as I thought it would

I ordered one more can of top coat to make sure I can get the metal flake in there. It did not show up with the previous can and I'll have to wait till Wednesday to get closer to finishing.
In the mean time the drivers door panel is off and front speaker installation starts tomorrow.

Pollen is everywhere and on everything right now.
Here's how the poor thing waits while the work gets done.

    Just terrible
