That pinstriping really cleans things up. A lot.

I painted the decklid on my "new" car and got a similar texture. I'll wet sand it in spring. lol

    Car's coming along nice.

Spent several hours in the shop today.
I wanted to show off my "custom circle jig" I made it years ago and it has done quite well despite its looks.
Also, a plunge router would be awesome but I work with what I got.

I've always wanted a box with flushed in woofers so I built one.

Yes, before you say it the woofers are not centered in the box. I centered them in the ski pass through.

The plan is to trim out the box to make it flush with the sides and walled off from the rest of the trunk. I'm not sure what to cover it in.
Thoughts are matching gray trunk liner, black vinyl or black carpet,
Ports out the side and with the rear deck speakers removed, firing up through the holes.

Maybe, matching grey trunk liner on the trunk side, but something to match the rear seat material on the front side that you see through the ski pass? Or do the blue/white checkerboard just around the subs, like you did on the amps.
    Are you not entertained?!?!

Agreed! Matching on trunk side and the checkerboard around the subs would look cool.

That thing is going to play hard. Last E46 I did was an Infinity setup with a similar box setup but only a single RE Audio SEX10. It was pretty clean sound, yours is going to be craziness. Maybe I'll post a thread about it, don't want to clutter up yours. But this is what it ended up looking like.

Love me a nice clean bmw build!! Great work so far

I did an IB in my E90, through the ski pass (well, cut my own, seats don’t fold and didn’t have a ski pass).

Grey carpet on trunk side, black paint on front side.

Initially used a 12w3, but now have a 12w7 waiting to go in (just need to tweak my baffle to accommodate). Using an older IDQ12v2 in the meantime. I’ve fallen in love with IB lol
But even if I do go back to a box, will prob do sealed firing through ski pass, or ported with ports also firing directly into cabin like you’re doing.
