New Build - BMW E36, budget build

The budget for this one is $1,000 for equipment... I have never done a budget build and haven't done passive in a long time, either. Let's see how this comes together!

Hopefully, it doesn't sound really good and then I come to the realization that I have been overpaying all this time! Lol

    2 way:
    Dynaudio 232

    Sub:
    Dayton Audio LS12

    Amps:
    Taramps DS440x4 & Bass 400

    Head unit:
    Clarion M508

Just started with cutting the wood for the sub box... As always, 3/4" Baltic Birch

The design I came up with will be a basic box, but the amps will be hanging down over the sub box mounted on hinges so they can swing back and forth, thereby keeping themselves cool!

    Haha! j/k

Seriously though, the amps will hang down over the sub box, and they'll have a thick acrylic backing that will be lit up with LEDS.

    Clean cuts = tight joints

For a $100 sub this thing looks really nice and feels solid!

Best threaded insert nuts ever in M6 (overkill)!

Screwed and glued in with E6000.

Box is ready for carpet - round overs done and sanded smooth-ish...

Here are the legs I gave it for bracing:

I am not going to carpet the bottom as height is very limited, so I rabbeted the edge to be able to tuck the carpet and have a protected edge and a nice straight cut.
