I get that's what they are designed for, what I'm asking is if there would be a sound quality difference if the 15s were used in a three way.
ZR800, gb40, gb15 for example.
The only difference is that the gb10 will be able to play higher without beaming. But you are getting into 10,000hz+ before it becomes an issue.
Also, you have to realize that for this to make a difference, all other things that you do have to be done properly. So eq done right, phase 100% lined up, levels matched, install angle done right, etc. If you don't have that stuff done, then going from the gb15 to a gb10 isn't going to make anything magical happen.
