These 8" will do anything you want under 300 Hz. Subwoofer: vented or sealed, or midbass sealed or freeair.

More specs:
250 W RMS. It's a 2" coil. 10 mm linear 1-way Xmax
On comparison to GB60:
The GB60 is a midbass/midrange. It has a pair of shorting rings and a super low inductance CCAL coil and a stiffer and lighter cone.
This 8" is really a subwoofer with a single shorting ring to extend the high frequencies to 300Hz and to reduce distortion.
IN order to create the illusion that the bass is in the front of the car, you don't need a crossover lower than about 80Hz and shouldn't go lower because of a cancellation that's caused by the width of most cars at about 70Hz.
Cone area isn't always king.

I love what Andy is trying to do. But, this is probably going to be another $900 solution right? Too many other options out their at or below this price point.
$500 to $600 a set and this would entice me.
