Thread: 3D SLA Printing

    Re: 3D SLA Printing

I didn't pay for SLA. This is just regular 3D filament printing. Just nylon. ABS was my first attempt and it wasn't flexible enough.

The yellow one is the factory one.

    Interesting!
I've been shopping for my first printer, and thinking I need the high-temp nozzle and heated bed for ABS compatibility because I'd like to be able to make strong parts...
But maybe I"m not quite thinking of that in exactly the right way. Really surprised that ABS was fragile.

Also - if you don't mind, did you make the shape manually, measure and draw...
    Or did you scan it?
Looks like a pretty good replica.

The abs just wasn't flexible on those tension arms. Also didn't look to smooth.

I didn't do it. The guy that printed the abs scanned it and gave me the file. And yeah it's exact. So good I'm actually amazed. Really clean.
