    Now for the car side:

These connectors are robust against soldering heat but not perfect. Take your time. Be careful. Make sure your solder joints are wet and flow properly:

Initially when I looked at it, I though you used ROMEX wire going to your subs...LOL

    Now let's talk sheet metal:

I need to make a circle pattern in this sheet of perforated steel. Obviously pencil does not show up. I could not fit a pen in this compass. I could not etch / scratch a line in the steel used the compasses sharp point. What to do?

Increase the clarity of the cut line with sharpe fine point pen.

Secure the sheet metal to a backboard with wood screws to prevent vibration during cut.

Right angle with a fine cutting blade? Here's a crude idea, maybe something you can adapt. Using your center hole affix a piece of wood to it as a swing arc of the diameter and affix a dremel to that so you may be able to swing the cut atound in an arc. Maybe use the same screw concept keeping the wood off the sheet metal far enough so only the bottom half of the blade will be touching the sheet metal and progress around that way in small sections. I'm trying to portray this idea, not sure if it's coming out properly. Counter clockwise I think would be a better way to cut it so you can see ahead I think.

Revolversmithing taught me I can feel 0.002 easily to the touch. if it's flush to the touch and smooth, you nailed it.

Round or square, honestly I would be cutting that sheet metal with my angle grinder then cleaning it up with a file.

Actually sounds like an excellent idea. But, I think the body of the Dremel is too wide. I'll check it out...
