Some knuckle head posted a Youtube video showing how to make these . I added my own creative flair with the goose neck and zip ties...

Re: 2016 Porsche Macan S - stealth SQ build

OK. I have a few more changes to make to my system before the winter freeze. Here is #1.

I absolutely love my Scanspeak D2904/60000 tweeters. But, they are 15 years old. I want to see how a current generation pair of D2004/602000's compare.

    For thought and inspiration:

Also installing tweeter protection capacitors. 80uF non-polar audio grade electrolytic:

I was glad to see the tweeters dropped right into the factory spring clip retention system. I was sure I was going to make modifications. As it turns out no .

The protective grill on the tweeter extends about 10mm above the tweeters dome. There was a 5mm interference fit between the dome and the factory grill. So, pop the tweeter grill off with a set of needle nose pliers. The grills come off with very little force applied. The tweeter only needs 1mm clearance. A 4mm gap still exists.

Note the factory grill was warped due to an interference fit with the old D2904's. I am hoping it will flatten out again now that there is no longer a tweeter grill pressing against it.

Nice! I recently got the D3004/60200 1-inchers, I'm still putting time on them and haven't done any serious tuning to them but I really like them so far. Let us know how you like the 3/4" versions.
    '18 VW Golf Sportwagen 4motion 6MT. Fiio M3 Pro to Helix DSP.3 (USB HEC). Amps: Alpine PDX-V9 (100 x 4 mids/tweets, 500 x 1 sub), Kenwood KAC-M3004 (bridged 150 x 2 midbasses). I have the D3004/602000 as well. I'm going to spend some time comparing the two.

Nice. I love my Be3's. They were groundbreaking when they were released. These look to be even better.

Those Uptopia's are so cool looking, I normally am a stealth install guy, but those almost need to be seen.

Also the Peerless arrived this morning, no issues, I like the creative isobaric shipping...

True stealth is always the top of the heap for classiness. Not "car-audio-type stealth", but "OEM-type stealth". Actually very hard to accomplish.
