Help me pick out my system

I've got a 2006 GMC Sierra crew cab with the stock Bose system in it. My budget is $1500 give or take. I am more of an audiophile but I do like the boom too. I listen to all types of music from classic rock to pop, country, blues, metal, some r&b as well. So here's what I came up with so far, feel free to suggest anything. Looking for the most musical/SQ I can get for the money, tell me what you think.

    Head unit: Pioneer DMX-2600NEX $360
    Amp: NVX VAD 11005 $250
Internals: CDT HD-61 PROCR $300 for the set of components and coaxes
Sub: Fosgate P3D4-12 or Image Dynamics IDQ12 V.4D4 $229 both same price
    Enclosure: Bbox by Atrend A151-12CP $ 65
OFC wiring kit, adapters, misc. install extras $200

    Total $1400

Maybe look at a battery upgrade and or Big three and charging system health...with your NVX VAD 11005 you have 120 amps of fusing for a potential (half of that) consistent 60+ amp draw. Your alternator should at least put out 100 amps to keep up with the vehicle functions and your "Booming" sound.

He doesnt need a battery upgrade or the big 3 with that single amp. As long as his factory battery and charging system are in good shape he is good to go there.

Exactly. A single class D amp isn't going to strain the stock electrical system (providing it's functioning properly).

Funny you brought this up. I've got extra wire and end to make up the big 3 so I'll do that anyway and I also have a dual terminal AGM battery that has 850 cca, so I'll be good there. I think the stock alternator puts out 130amps.

A lot of people with F150's really like the morel speakers for the price.

    $150 for these

    Or

    $250 for these

These could go in the rear

    $90

Or you could always go SB29 tweeter and SB17 woofer.

Re: Help me pick out my system

As I've been looking, I think I'm not going to go with this head unit ( Pioneer DMX-2600NEX ). I think I'm going to go with Pioneer AVH2500-NEX. Does anyone run one of those? I've watched a few videos, the one from Fivestar car audio in Florida is really good. I want one that has musical flexibility with the ability to change settings as I want, when I want, how I want, and play with my settings. I like having the video capability, not sure how much I'll use it, but I do have cd's too that I still listen too. I'm not super into all the apps, so I know there are things in that aspect that I won't even use, so that's not really that important to me. Any other suggestions? My budget for the HU is about $350
