Follow the yellow brick road. Diyma brought me here, you?

A few years ago I signed up at DIYMA, and I read and read and read.

Saved some coin, read some more.

Ordered parts from The USA, Japan and Canada (no duty on those!)

I posted a fair bit while doing research on what the system would look and sound like and how much it would tax the cars electrical system.

My posts come from the perspective of a licensed automotive trades person who happens to be in love with sound.

Started building 2-3 years ago now?

Audiofrog has me by the frogs legs, and it's a good thing.

GB10, GB25 (when they go in), GB60 front stage
GB12 D2 in a sealed box of recommended volume

    2005 Subaru Legacy

I had plans of doing some roof mount components, two single din units (one for SQ audio at the front stage, and one for NAV flip up style to rear speakers).
SQ unit is in and wired. Only 260 ft of wiring in total. For now I rest and read once again. I have forgotten as much as I learned from those initial readings ... well retaining most but ...

    I'll be around.

    Hi guys!

I recognize many names from the "other" site, so this helps when putting personalities to the writing.

Yes, the AF gear is really nice.

Even with just a simple drop-in install with the GB10's and GB60's putting out what a pair of Class D Kenwood amps were told by the Pioneer P-01, it's breathe taking how clear the vocals are.

Haven't had time to setup the stage, but the wiring is all there.

Time ..... wish I had more of it, outside in the warm weather.

    I'll add some pics.

I actually own a version of that Infinity (k1000) and those Excelon amplifiers myself. Those are good amplifiers.

WOW!!! Is this the Darkside? I always wanted to be part of the Darkside!

    Ts there an initiation?

Do I get a card to carry in my wallet?

    Is there a secret handshake?

    Sorry, I guess I am just a wise-ass.

BTW, why am I a noob? I belonged to the other place for 14 years: so that makes me a noob? Maybe I could take a test or something?
