So true. It's a small price to pay for a badass engine under the hood. That's why no one will ever see my angry about having to buy gas for it even though my wording will make you think I am at times. I don't think Mopar v8's are nearly as bad as they used to be on fuel consumption for the power delivered. If I wanted gas mileage I woulda bought a GM, but have proven to be a Mopar lover since this is my 4th Chrysler vehicle in a row (3 Rams and a Grand Cherokee). My buddy gets insane mileage out of his 2016 z71 4x4 with the 5.3 but would still choose a Ram over it even though his truck is very nice being loaded to the hilt with leather and stuff.
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.

I can't wrap my head around why we're still putting ethanol in gas. Blows me away.

I won't even get into the environmental issues with it - which are unbelievably short sighted. Isn't it enough that the stuff gunks up carbs? Fuel injected motors seem to be fine with it, but you have to constantly clean carbs if you're using it. And as I understand it, it can't be transported in pipelines with traditional fuels. You need trucks or dedicated pipelines and you also need farm equipment...which runs on diesel

Two words: Corn lobby. We have become corn-based lifeforms.
