My brother, Jonathan, is a bit of a germophobe...always washes his hands, opens doors with the back of his pinky, touches buttons with his knuckles, etc. He also wears a mask and latex gloves when he goes out.
I had surgery a couple of weeks ago, and he was there for an hour or two to help me after recovery. When he went in, he was wearing his mask, but the staff made him throw away his gloves. Last week he started having chest congestion and a low grade fever, but he was on vacation and tried to fight it with over the counter drugs. By last Sunday, he was feeling better, but not 100%, and the company we work for had him go get tested before he could come back to work. He took the test Monday and got the test results today. It turns out he's positive for Covid-19, so he's having to stay quarantined for at least one more week. Even though I hate that he's sick from helping me, I'm glad the hospital had an age cutoff at 65, because my 73 year old father wanted to come visit me.
