I have full respect for your experience... so I gotta ask why?
If you're talking about speaker terminals, then I get it. But, I've always subscribed to the idea that; I want those power cables in there, good and tight...

Again, I gotta ask; what better method can you offer?
I'm just posting what I have done. But if there's a better way, then I'm here to learn.

These ferrules are basically just thin copper sleeves, to keep the wire strands from fraying.
They definitely don't crimp well, using a standard tool (I tried, and it just destroyed them).

I used heat shrink to hold them in place, and then crimped them down with the set screw. If there's a better way to do it, then let me know ASAP.
My OCD is kicking-in, and I don't really like how the heat shrink turned out. So I may be re-doing them soon (like today) anyways.
