You can slide a lot of things under the radar just outside the city limits so don't have to be in the full blown country. And more times than not the higher end utilities get run out there too.

I've got an ATT tower less than 1 mile from the house line of site. I can't get wired Broadband or Fiber, only option was satellite.... which has terrible latency. I'm running our home internet on ATT 4G LTE and get 150 down 50 up. Funny thing is they were throttling us pretty hard once we passed 22 GB of usage. To the point where you couldn't really even stream a video. When we were building the house I cabled it for Cat6 and once I plugged up that DirecTV receiver all throttling stopped. We run over 150 GB a month on that connection.

We just moved back to B’more from Dallas. The basement is my sanctuary and what sold me on this place to rent for 2 years.
